Ed Khediguian, Senior Vice President, Franchise Finance

As senior vice president of CWB Franchise Finance, Ed is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mortgage and asset-based lending business to the hotel and restaurant sectors. Ed has over 20 years of experience in the lodging, hospitality and restaurant industries.

Prior to joining CWB, Ed led GE Capital’s franchise finance division for over 12 years, was director of a private equity fund for the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDP Capital), worked for KPMG’s consulting and corporate finance group in Montreal and Toronto, and worked for Remington Hotels Corp. out of Dallas, Texas.

Ed attended McGill University’s John Molson School of Business and Cornell University’s Hotel School of Management, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Management in Hospitality respectively.

Cameron Woof, Assistant Vice President, Hotels & Syndication 

With over ten years of experience in hospitality financing, Cameron has a deep understanding of Canadian hotel owners’ and developers’ unique capital needs. As account manager, Hotel Finance, he has underwrote and managed nearly $1 billion in hotel assets – providing financing solutions for owners and developers of hotel properties.

Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

 Cameron Woof
Jacob Mancini, Assistant Vice President, Restaurant Finance

As AVP, Restaurant Finance, Jacob oversees all aspects of the restaurant lending business which provides financing for branded restaurant chains on both a corporate and franchisee level. Jacob specializes in portfolio and business development for both national and regional chains.

Prior to joining CWB, Jacob spent 13 years and held several roles within GE Capital’s franchise finance division, including 9 years in commercial and business development, 2 years in sales support and operations, and 2 years as a credit and structuring manager.

Jacob received a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the University of Guelph.

 Jacob Mancini
Tara Mascitelli, Assistant Vice President, Portfolio & Structuring

Tara Mascitelli oversees the risk and portfolio functions for CWB Franchise Finance. In this role, Tara monitors the financial performance of both the franchise portfolios. Tara has been involved in lending within the franchise sector for 12+ years. 

In her previous roles at GE Capital Franchise Finance, she held the title of account manager on both the restaurant and hotel side of the business. Tara received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in finance from Wilfrid Laurier University.

 Tara Mascitelli
Dimitri Mazur, Senior Manager, Restaurant Finance

Dimitri has over ten years of commercial lending and structured financing experience across various industries in Canada. Since 2011, Dimitri’s focus has concentrated on branded restaurant financing within the quick and full service sector, facilitating take-outs, acquisitions, new constructions, relocations, conversions, and refinance solutions. Evolving in recent years, Dimitri has also closed numerous corporate transactions with privately held regional restaurant groups of the “branded/non-branded, chain/non-chain” type. 

Within his comprehensive portfolio, Dimitri additionally manages all restaurant financing in the province of Quebec. Dimitri holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, with two degrees, in Economics and French Literature.

 Dimitri Mazur
Trish Halliwell, Senior Manager, Restaurant Finance

With over 17 years of experience in commercial lending, Trish brings diverse cross-functional expertise spanning sales, risk, portfolio management and operations to her role as Senior Manager, Restaurant Finance. Trish has developed relationships and created customized financing programs with restaurant chains across Canada, in addition to establishing lending solutions for both corporate and franchisee level transactions in the casual dining and quick service segments.

Trish previously held roles with GE Capital in Risk as a structuring manager for the hospitality finance group, as well as a sales portfolio manager, where she led the management, oversight and control of GE’s portfolio of restaurant and hotel loans. Trish holds an honour Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in marketing from the University of Guelph.

 Trish Halliwell
Patrick Schofield, Senior Manager, Hotel Finance

Patrick is responsible for originating financing to owners of branded hotels with a national mandate in Canada. Since 2012, his experience has been solely focused on structured financing in the hospitality sector allowing him to gain an in-depth understanding of new construction, repositioning, take-out, acquisition and refinancing transactions. Patrick has also spent time in Risk, Structuring and Portfolio roles at CWB, building a cross-functional skill set which allows him to understand all elements of a financing agreement.

Patrick attended the University of Guelph, where he received a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Economics and Finance, graduating with honours.

 Patrick Schofield
Justin Alexander, Senior Portfolio & Structuring Analyst 

As a Senior Portfolio and Structuring Analyst, Justin is responsible for matters related to the Franchise Finance portfolio with emphasis on risk mitigation. Justin oversees and completes analytical reviews for all Franchise Finance clients on a periodic basis, as well as ensures reporting requirements are satisfied. 

Justin entered Franchise Finance as Co-op student in 2014, and has previously held the role of Credit Analyst. Justin attended the University of Guelph, where he received a Masters of Arts in Economics and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics, graduating with distinction.

Justin Alexander 
Mary Garisto, Credit Analyst

Mary brings over 30 years of experience in commercial and residential lending. Prior to joining CWB Franchise Finance, Mary worked as a Senior Documentation Specialist at GE Capital for 10 years where she was responsible for the preparation of loan documentation, ensuring collateral security was perfected and funding restaurant transactions. 

In her new role as Credit Analyst, Mary’s main function is to manage the AML/KYC process for restaurant and hotel transactions and ensure we are compliant with CWB’s policies. Mary works closely with Lenders and provides transactional, portfolio management, and customer service support.

 Mary Garisto
Wendy Black, Senior Documentation Specialist

As Senior Documentation Specialist for CWB Franchise Finance’s restaurant financing portfolio, Wendy is responsible for the preparation of loan documentation from approval to funding for a variety of commercial loan structures for the restaurant sales team.

Wendy brings 15 years of closing experience from previous roles at GE Capital Franchise Finance and GE Capital Equipment Finance. Previous to working at CWB Franchise Finance and GE Capital, her experience was in the education, legal and banking sectors.

 Wendy Black
Tania Marques, Senior Documentation Specialist

Tania is a Senior Documentation specialist for CWB Franchise Finance’s restaurant and hotel financing portfolios. In this role, Tania is responsible for drafting loan and security documentation, perfecting collateral security and reviewing third party agreements.

Prior to joining CWB, Tania was a documentation specialist at GE Capital for four years where she worked in franchise and fleet financing. Tania is trilingual, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Bachelor of Law from Université de Montréal. She is a member of the Quebec Bar Association and the Young Bar Association of Montreal.

Helena Spriet, Documentation Specialist

As a Documentation Specialist for CWB Franchise Finance, Helena’s responsibilities include preparation and review of documentation, providing instruction to and liaising with external Counsel and preforming all other required duties to effectively fund and close transactions. 

Helena brings a wealth of experience in the Financial Services industry with her, with expertise in the areas of Documentation and Funding and Customer Services through the various industries that include Transportation & Construction, Healthcare Finance and Technology and Office Products.  

Prior to joining the Franchise Finance team she spent 3 ½ years at ECN Financial (formerly Element Financial Ltd.) as a Senior Documentation Specialist. Preceding her time at ECN, Helena spent over 15 years at CIT Financial Ltd. in various senior roles that concluded with her overseeing all new business transactions and registration services across a variety of business units.

Karen Poulter, Documentation Specialist 

Karen brings over 25 years of experience in the finance industry. In her role as Documentation Specialist, Karen manages the loan process cycle from approval, to the coordination and preparation of loan and security documentation, ensuring compliance, and completing booking and funding of transactions.

Prior to joining the CWB Franchise Finance team, Karen worked at GE Capital and USM Capital Inc. in various roles allowing her to build her varied experience providing comprehensive support offering customized financial solutions to clients.
